What is it, exactly?

The Peru Partnership (unofficial name) is a coalition of churches in the southeastern United States that has committed to serving 4 villages in the Northwestern Yauyos region in Peru, South America. These villages (San Joaqin, Huanec, Cochas, and Quinches) are at about 9,500 feet above sea level in the Andes Mountains. SWBC joined this partnership after a vision trip to the villages in 2019. The Mission

The Yauyos region is largely Orthodox Catholic with other religious and cultural influences. The indigenous are very confused about what the Bible really says about Jesus Christ and salvation (among other things), and so it is our task to go down there and share the Gospel with them. We are seeking to disciple the few believers that are present, minister to the lost, and eventually help the believers form a self-sustaining, growing church so that it can evangelize and disciple its own community.
